Taberna Espanola in Hoehr-Grenzhausen

We ordered the paella to take away. To the surprise there was aioli, bread and fish crabs for free. We took the paella home with us, including the tray and pan, so everything was nice and hot. The taste of the paella was good and the portion satiated even me!

Ambience nice! The service is great! The prices are ok too. Spanish cuisine is not for me. A matter of taste!!!

A very quaint restaurant. The landlord has his own sense of humor, which is characterized by a friendly and at the same time somewhat rough manner. If you let yourself into it, you have a lot of fun. The food is excellent, the individual dishes were delicious and everyone was satisfied with the portions. A clear recommendation for this restaurant, especially since the prices are not too high. As the building is over 200 years old, the restaurant is only partially suitable for people with disabilities.

We were guests with a group in the Taberna Espanola. Everything is just right here. Quaint atmosphere, delicious Spanish specialties and an original innkeeper. Highly recommended - we would love to come back!

You feel more like a troublemaker than a guest. The boss and the staff were quite abrupt and "grumpy". We had ordered different tapas, all of which came to the table one by one. Some of the bowls, which were also quite tiny for the price, were not very warm ... The quality of the food is normal average. All in all not recommendable.

A real Spanish restaurant with Spanish hosts. The food was good and plenty of it. No fuss, just like in Spain. Nice hombres and the mucher in the kitchen. The restaurant is a very beautiful building, it looked like an old bunker or old oven for the pottery in the past, unfortunately they did not know anything about it. I was parked with the truck on the highway raststätte but walked from there. Approx. 4 kilometers vice versa. I will come back there again for sure.

We arrived there with 2 people and although I had ordered in my name for at least 2 weeks, the host asked annoyed what we wanted, when I would have ordered and pointed dismissively and out of necessity to a table in a corner outside. The table wasn't clean and there was probably no reason to change it afterwards. We stayed polite and ordered sangria, cola and paella. The host emphasized that we had to wait 25 minutes for the paella. The sangria was good, the paella the worst I've ever eaten and I've eaten quite a few from real Spaniards (family and restaurant). In addition, lots of flies and wasps at all tables. Well that's probably the case! We stayed polite and let us wrap up the rest. When I paid the landlord only asked if we were going now. I thought that was a cheek. He was much nicer to the locals. We will not eat there anymore!

A great evening, delicious paella, creme catalana and homemade sangria ... and hosts with a dry sense of humor made the meal an experience. If you are nearby, be sure to visit. Feel-good guarantee ...
